'Prostrate' Cancer?

I was saddened to read that Wayne Swan was diagnosed with "prostrate cancer" (The Age, 27/10) - at least he isn't taking it lying down!

Doctors' Wives?

Further to Dr. Watkin's critique of the AMA (Letters, 6/10), we should note the Liberals' silence and inaction on the closed-shop, monopolistic, price-fixing and protectionist medical colleges - practices that would make a third-generation wharfie blush. A sop to the doctors' wives, perhaps?
